Quick Carpet Cleaning Tips

Author: David Belliveau

We often spend a lot of money so that our carpets can be clean and nice, but after a week or less, we can spot the stains from shoes, pets or some other things like wine or food. Since we cannot pay for the carpet cleaning every two weeks or so, we have to deal with a problem ourselves. Here you will find some tips on how to make your carpet clean again quickly.

Club soda

Club soda is especially powerful when it comes to stains from beer or wine. Soak a soft cloth in a club soda and blot the area. After you remove the stain, dry the place and then brush the fibers into their natural direction. Finally, put a towel on a spot for a day to absorb the dampness from the carpet.

The shaving cream

The shaving cream can clean all types of stains, from pet urine to red wine. You just have to apply the shaving cream right to the stained area and leave it for about 30 minutes. After that, just dry it with a clean soft cloth.

Removing gums from carpet

For this, you need only a few ice cubes. Put the ice cubes on and around a gum and leave it there for about 30 seconds. Once the gum is frozen, lift it and cut the carpet fibers as less as possible.

Liquid dishwasher for oil and grease

Put two or three drops in a cup of warm water and use a spray bottle to sprinkle the solution on grease. After that, just blot it up. If you deal with heavy stains, maybe you will need to repeat this more than once.

Removing wax

You have to heat the wax again in order to remove it. Put a white cloth or a towel on the stain and then just iron the place, but no more than 30 seconds. After the wax is warm, scrape it with a big knife.

Hydrogen peroxide

Hydrogen Peroxide is good for removing pet urine stains and blood. Apply Hydrogen Peroxide directly to the stain and tap it with a towel afterward.

Removing crushed candies

If you have kids in the house, then this will be an everyday occurrence in your home. Scrape it with the big knife and then scrub it using a sponge. After that, dry the spot with a cloth or a towel.
